These novels are dear to my heart, for many reasons. Mainly because we had a Gabby and an Angel, now we have a Maddie. All three were rescued pooches from the SPCA.
In 'Gabby' an unpublished author living at the beach adopts an unwanted puppy...together they become an unbeatable team. This funny, touching novel fills the bill for pet lovers of all ages. Aside from bonding, this duo learns how to overcome life's obstacles to pursue their dreams. The fuel for their success comes from helping others less fortunate enjoy their lives. You will spend time on the beach with a very special pooch and Scooter. Prepare to laugh.
'Flash...the Humble Hero' is the sequel to 'Gabby'. Imagine an unwanted beagle puppy tossed from a moving car like a bag of trash, into the woods on the Eastern Shore. This little pup would live in fear and hopelessness – until one sunny day when Scooter and his pooch Gabby pulled into the country diner. Little Flash suddenly meets a human and another dog who care for him. After a complete check-up with a local vet, the now 'wanted' puppy is relocated to Sandbridge Beach and becomes a member of their little family.
In 'Adam's Angel' - New Year's Day should be the time when hope for a bright future abounds. However, the opposite is true for a rescue dog and a high school senior. This first day of the new year will dramatically change their lives. How will they handle it?
Adam's father is killed in Afghanistan during a rescue attempt of fellow soldiers under fire from the Taliban.
Angel is beaten and thrown out to survive in a very rural section of Virginia Beach, by her owner's jealous boyfriend.
Frigid temperatures and several inches of snow lambaste Sandbridge Beach. The unusual weather becomes the catalyst that brings Adam and Angel together.
These two become a team and no matter what happens, they never quit, but instead work together and dedicate their lives to helping others.
